UK Reports Sharp Drop in Disposable Vape Use After Ban

Menafn
Disposable vape use in the UK has dropped significantly following a government ban on single-use products.

Summary

Disposable vape use in the United Kingdom has fallen significantly following the introduction of a government ban on single-use vaping products. Data from a YouGov poll showed that only 13% of vapers aged 11–17 now primarily use disposable devices, down from 42% before the restrictions were implemented in 2025. This figure is also well below the peak level of 69% recorded in 2023. Among adults, disposable vape usage has also declined notably. Just 8% of adult vapers reported mainly using single-use products, compared with 24% in 2025 and 31% in 2023. The trend suggests the ban has contributed to reducing both the popularity and availability of disposable vapes. However, millions of these products are still reportedly being discarded despite the restrictions.
