President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has approved amendments to the “Administrative Offenses Code” to regulate electronic cigarettes. The new regulations impose fines for importing, exporting, producing, selling, and storing e-cigarettes and their components. Individuals face fines between 350 and 500 manats, officials between 1,650 and 2,200 manats, and legal entities between 4,000 and 5,000 manats. Using e-cigarettes in prohibited public areas, such as streets, will result in a 30 manat fine. Illegal products will also be confiscated.
