The fire, which erupted near Central Station around 3:45pm, initially appeared small but quickly escalated. Robertson and Boyd attempted to use extinguishers from nearby businesses, but faced difficulties and ultimately witnessed a large explosion. Fire crews are still battling the blaze, which has since spread to neighboring Victorian buildings, causing significant disruption including the closure of Central Station. Police have urged the public to avoid the area.
