The Florida Vape Task Force has completed its largest-ever seizure of illegal vapes, confiscating 2,183 contraband vapes and nitrous oxide canisters across four counties: Clermont, Ocoee, Okaloosa County, and Milton. Attorney General James Uthmeier stated the seizure sends a clear message to those profiting from illegal and dangerous substances. Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson emphasized the commitment to enforcing laws against these products, which he says threaten public health and target children. Violations included improper labeling, lack of child-resistant packaging, unlawful marketing, and the presence of prohibited substances like 7-hydroxymitragynine and tianeptine. The Department of Business and Professional Regulation Secretary Melanie S. Griffin affirmed the state’s dedication to protecting communities and holding accountable those who sell illegal products.
