BA passenger on Heathrow flight threatened American couple after vaping in toilet

Louis Gaston, 31, was found guilty of assault and other charges after vaping in the toilet of a British Airways flight from New York to London Heathrow in November 2025. Cabin crew discovered him in the toilet and smelled cannabis, which Gaston claimed was air freshener. After landing, Gaston forced his way through a crowded aisle to retrieve his bag, threatening an American couple, Zachary Lowry and Laurel Dillon. He pushed Ms Dillon so hard that she sustained bruises. Gaston denied the charges but was convicted of assault by beating, disobeying a pilot, and smoking on an aircraft.
