A Stomper Anonymous reported seeing a group vaping next to a playground near Block 505 Tampines Central on September 17 at approximately 5:30pm. He observed them for about 10 minutes and suspected they were using Kpods or vapes containing etomidate, an anaesthetic, because some appeared to be "in a daze" and at least two were "trembling." The group's members appeared to range in age from their 20s to 40s. The father of three, who was alone at the time, was particularly concerned because children were playing nearby and said he was "appalled." He called the police before contacting the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) to report the incident. In response to a Stomp query, HSA confirmed it was aware of the incident and said it is following up to investigate. HSA encouraged members of the public to report suspected vaping-related offences through its online reporting form at go.gov.sg/reportvape or by calling 6684 2036 or 6684 2037 from 7am to midnight daily, including weekends and public holidays.
