While Singapore's criminal laws generally apply only within its borders, specific laws like the Misuse of Drugs Act and Prevention of Corruption Act have extraterritorial jurisdiction for certain offenses committed by Singaporeans overseas. Additionally, from May 1, 2024, penalties for vape-related offenses in Singapore have been significantly increased.
