Twin sisters found unconscious after using spiked vape in UK park
Summary
Two 13-year-old twin sisters, Scarlett and Olivia Bywood, were rushed to Hull Royal Infirmary after collapsing in a park in Hull, East Yorkshire. The girls reportedly accepted a vape from a group of other teenagers, which they believed was normal, but it was allegedly laced with MDMA (ecstasy) and spice. Within minutes, both teenagers became unconscious, with one foaming at the mouth. Their mother, Kay Fores, discovered them and called emergency services. Doctors confirmed the presence of drugs in their blood. The twins were treated for a head injury and a black eye, and were discharged the following day but could not remember the incident. Kay Fores has since warned parents about the dangers of accepting vapes from strangers. The incident highlights growing concerns over drug-laced vapes in schools, with a 2025 study finding that up to one in four confiscated vapes contained synthetic drugs.
