Consumers report adverse health effects from Colorado THC vapes
Summary
Following one of Colorado's largest marijuana vaporizer recalls, state health and marijuana officials say dozens of consumers have reported adverse health events potentially linked to flagged products. The recall involves Stayconn LLC, doing business as Craft, and has expanded to three health and safety notices since Sept. 25. Inspectors found THC vape products containing banned solvents, pesticides, and flavor additives. Over 700 medical and recreational dispensaries sold the affected products. As of Oct. 9, the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment received 38 reports of adverse effects, mostly headaches and respiratory discomfort. Craft has issued statements attributing the contamination to specific terpenes but did not respond to requests for comment. Investigations by the Marijuana Enforcement Division and CDPHE are ongoing.
