Edenderry Garda Station has been temporarily closed to allow for a thorough examination of the scene. Investigators are working to determine if the officers were affected by leaking fumes from the vapes, which also contain lithium batteries. Evidence bags were removed from the station as part of the ongoing investigation.

While the station is closed, policing services for the area are being managed from Tullamore. An Garda Síochána is providing welfare support to the affected officers and their families, while the Garda Representative Association has expressed its support for the men.
