The Bureau of Customs (BOC) announced on Wednesday that it seized nearly P137 million worth of misdeclared vape and vape-related products at the Manila International Container Port. The shipments, which originated from China, were falsely declared as cardboard boxes, accessories, packaging bags, kitchenware, underwear, clothes hangers, shoe boxes, and footwear. Upon physical inspection, authorities discovered substantial quantities of vape kits, disposable vape devices, vape cartridges, and other vape-related items. Representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry and the National Bureau of Investigation participated in the verification and assessment of the seized goods in accordance with existing importation and sale regulations.
